How to install Braided Brake Lines

Below is a quick-start guide to installing upgraded braided stainless steel brake hoses.

  1. Order the Correct Kit for your Vehicle

Find and purchase the correct brake line kit for your vehicle using our handy kit-finder or consult your nearest Goodridge dealer. Once you receive the hoses, offer them up to the vehicle to check for correct length & fitment.

  1. Remove Old Brake Lines

Carefully remove the old rubber OEM brake lines & fluid, ensuring no fluid is spilled on to paintwork or vulnerable surfaces.

  1. Route and Install New Brake Lines

Route and install your replacement braided stainless steel brake lines, ensuring all washers and chassis mounts are used where required, and hoses are kink-free. Torque fittings & banjo bolts to the spec specified in your kit box.

  1. Bleed the Brake System

Bleed the vehicle’s brake system with fresh brake fluid. A vacuum bleeder or Goodridge Speed-Bleeders may prove useful for this.

  1. Check for Leaks

Carefully check the system for any leaks, check pedal / lever operation and give the system a test.

  1. Enjoy
